Steven Kreit is the Managing Partner of Kreit & Chiu (KC) and a member of the Executive Committee. With over 30 years of experience auditing public companies and leading SEC practices, he specializes in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, cannabis, media, technology, manufacturing, and distribution. Before KC, he was the Office Managing Partner at MGO, where he led the SEC practice as Partner In Charge, and a Partner at EisnerAmper, overseeing the NY commercial audit and Tech & Life Sciences groups.
Steven has guided companies through IPOs, Reg A+, and reverse mergers, ensuring SEC compliance and coordinating with investment bankers and attorneys. Steven’s experience benefits his clients throughout their entire lifecycle: from emerging entities through growth stages and transactions as well as maturity.
Business Experience:
Steven brings more than an outsider’s perspective: he has been engaged by clients as an acting CFO (for a publicly traded biotech firm) as well as a pro bono advisor to early-stage start-ups. He also serves on the Board and Executive Committee of a not-for-profit entity, currently holding the role of Treasurer.
His insights are widely respected by financial executives and industry professionals. While at EisnerAmper, he authored the Concerns About Risks Confronting Boards report for eight years, gaining recognition from major media and financial outlets. A sought-after speaker, Steven frequently presents on accounting, risk, and compliance topics worldwide. Prior to EisnerAmper, he was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young.
As an internal leader, Steven has conducted extensive training on audit methodology and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance.
